MY REVIEW:
Awesome action/puzzle game where you control a tank and try to destroy the CPU opponent.  It will keep you occupied for ages!  Amazing 3-D graphics and smooth controls!  This app is great.

Ickle Count, the free Appvent Calendar iPhone game today, I think is great, but other opinions vary.  Why?  It is an addicting tapping / counting game to pass the time, and is somewhat geared toward younger kids learning their counting skills.  Nevertheless, I think you should go ahead, get it while it's free, and try it out.  See the description below also.  My rating: ★★★☆☆

Green Finger is a well-made puzzle game on sale for free and is a
steal. You have flower pots on the bottom of the screen you swipe to

fun, well made, simple game where you catch falling objects with your
truck by tilting your device. There are four settings: stone quarry,
log cutting, ice rocks, and garbage truck. It's a must have and will
be free for about six more days. By the way, this app is rated FIVE
STARS!

Flight Before Christmas is a fun game where you control santa's sleigh
by drawing lines to houses, all while avoiding other aircraft. I
think everyone should get this game while it's free, it'll be free
until Christmas.

Vortex is a really fun free puzzle game. You guide a spaceship to
earth by placing objects such as black holes and repelling planets.
Get it while it's free!

Zoobreak! is a free animal line drawing game where you guide animals
to their habitats; it's geared toward kids.

Two free apps today: Samurai + Navy Patrol Coastal Defense!

Appvent Calendar is doing the app Samurai today; it is a sword fighting game.  I downloaded the app in the morning but I didn't have a chance to look at it until now. The app is well-made, but I don't really care for this type of game. And since it was taking up too much space on my 8gb iTouch, I deleted it. But, I have to say, all of the Appvent Calendar games are high quality including this one.  They just differ in type.

The second free app for today is Navy Patrol Coastal Defense.  It is a tower defense game with boats, and worth downloading.

Hook Me is a game free now through the 6th and it is a line drawing game where you drag fishing lines to fish in order to get them in buckets.  I didn't really care for this game, even for free, but it's definitely playable.

EA Mobile, who sells games for the iPhone like Monopoly, Sims 3, and Madden NFL 10, is having a sale on one game each day until Christmas of up to 80% off.  It started December 1st and games like Boggle have been discounted so far. Tap Studio - free app!

Tap Studio is similar to Tap Tap Revenge! There's one big twist: You

The application will also reportedly extend song tagging capabilities to integrate direct iTunes Store purchasing.

The holdup on this app is that Apple is trying to integrate the Mobile iTunes Store purchases into the functionality of the program. For instance, if you like a song you are listening to on the radio (and that station supports tagging and you are in the US), you will be able to push a button and see the song (and all of the information around it) in the iTunes Mobile store.

The Broadcom combination Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chips used in the iPhone and iPod touch have long also had the technical capacity for FM radio reception, with the chip found in the latest iPod touch theoretically also capable of FM radio transmission, although Apple has not as yet taken advantage of these capabilities."
