➤ The Goal
Fill more than 66% of the screen with shapes to complete a level. The game ends when you run out of shapes. Sounds easy, right? Think again! There are enemy particles and other shapes to worry about!
➤ Creating a Shape
To create a shape, simply touch the screen. Keep pressing to make bigger shapes. The shape drops to the bottom of the screen when you release your touch.
➤ Enemies
Look out for enemies when creating a shape. If they hit a growing shape before you drop it, the shape will be lost and you have one less shape to complete the level.
➤ Rotating the Screen
The shapes always fall to the bottom of the screen. You can rotate the screen to any angle you want. This is a good strategy to keep the enemies out of your way!
➤ Scoring
You get points for every shape you drop. When you complete a level, you get bonus points based on how many shapes you have left, how fast you completed the level, and how much of the screen you filled.
➤ Zones
There are several Zones in the game. Each one has its own shape. To unlock a Zone, you have to complete at least 9 levels from the Zone before it. The last Zone has a surprise, so be careful!
➤ Pausing the Play
To pause the game, simply double-tap the screen.
➤ Game Saving
Your progress is automatically saved as you play. Whenever you start a new level, that information is remembered. So if your game gets interrupted, you can continue where you left off the next time you launch the game.
➤ The Toy Box
In this mode, you can create any shape you wish. Simply touch the icon in the panel and create a shape as normal. You can create up to 20 shapes. You can move shapes around, delete them, and even clear the screen to start over. There are no enemies to worry about in the Toy Box, so enjoy yourself!

You start at a beginner level and must develop the skills and acumen to successfully destroy your opponent. You need to learn how to bounce shots off walls and obstacles. Your skills will improve if you can successfully progress through arenas, each of which presents new and terrifying challenges making it harder to seek and destroy enemies.
But don't be fooled! This game cannot be won as easily as one might think. As your skills develop, your opponent's skills will, too. Ickle Count, the free Appvent Calendar iPhone game today, I think is great, but other opinions vary. Why? It is an addicting tapping / counting game to pass the time, and is somewhat geared toward younger kids learning their counting skills. Green Finger is a well-made puzzle game on sale for free and is a
steal. You have flower pots on the bottom of the screen you swipe to
switch, and there is soil, water, sun, etc. falling from the sky. You
arrange the pots so the falling elements fall into the flowerpots that
need it.

Appvent Calendar is doing the app Samurai today; it is a sword fighting game. I downloaded the app in the morning but I didn't have a chance to look at it until now. The app is well-made, but I don't really care for this type of game. And since it was taking up too much space on my 8gb iTouch, I deleted it. But, I have to say, all of the Appvent Calendar games are high quality including this one. They just differ in type.

The second free app for today is Navy Patrol Coastal Defense. It is a tower defense game with boats, and worth downloading.

Hook Me is a game free now through the 6th and it is a line drawing game where you drag fishing lines to fish in order to get them in buckets. I didn't really care for this game, even for free, but it's definitely playable.

EA Mobile, who sells games for the iPhone like Monopoly, Sims 3, and Madden NFL 10, is having a sale on one game each day until Christmas of up to 80% off. It started December 1st and games like Boggle have been discounted so far. I think if Madden NFL is discounted down to around $2.99 one day, that would be a real steal. can help you "rediscover" the songs on your iPod.

Tap Studio is similar to Tap Tap Revenge! There's one big twist: You
play the music on your device instead of playing preselected music on
the app. The first time the song is played, you tap your own beats to
the song. The beats are recorded and you can play the song for as many
times as you like just like tap tap revenge! When you want to play a
song, just push the music button and select a song from your iPod
library. Then you can record the song or play it if you have already

"9 to 5 Mac reports that it has received a tip claiming that Apple is in the process of developing an application to bring FM radio functionality to the iPhone and iPod touch. The functionality would reportedly be similar to that found in the fifth-generation iPod nano, which offers the ability pause radio and tag songs for use in iTunes.
The FM radio application will reportedly be able to function in the background to allow user to listen to radio stations while other tasks are being performed, although it remains unclear whether the radio functionality will be a standalone application or integrated into the existing "iPod" music application. The application will also reportedly extend song tagging capabilities to integrate direct iTunes Store purchasing.

The holdup on this app is that Apple is trying to integrate the Mobile iTunes Store purchases into the functionality of the program. For instance, if you like a song you are listening to on the radio (and that station supports tagging and you are in the US), you will be able to push a button and see the song (and all of the information around it) in the iTunes Mobile store.
